It all began with Northern Ready Mix, the first member of the Northern Family. A manufacturer and distributor of concrete for both commercial and residential applications. Northern is proud to have poured every inch of concrete for one of CNY's largest long term projects...the mammoth Nine Mile Nuclear Power Plants in Oswego, N.Y.

To maintain an exact level of quality and consistency, Northern operated it's own on-site concrete plant there for over 20 years! This same dedication is adhering to the precise specifications demanded by every job we undertake has led us to become an innovative leader in our field. For example, to ensure that all concrete meets our standards as well as yours, we mine and manufacture the aggregate from our own company-owned quarries.
Our 5 state approved batch plants are fully computerized, programmed with many different admixtures that can be called up and processed to your exact needs. This means consistent mixes that can meet all ASTM and NYS DOT specifications - no matter how much is required. We've chosen our 5 plant sites in Oswego, Clay, Fulton, and Camden carefully to make sure that fresh mix is never far from your project. Along with Fulton, our Camden plant also stocks concrete blocks, masonry supplies, and landscape products. And, to get to you, we use a fleet of radio equipped trucks that are always in touch with our home office. With rear discharged, front discharged, and conveyor trucks we can service any construction site. In addition, a staff of full-time control technicians oversee each plant, anticipating the unexpected and answering any questions you may have.
